Annaul review 2022

A turbulent year comes to an end

We were also concerned with topics such as:

  • Corona
  • Delivery times
  • Raw material prices
  • Shortage of raw materials
  • Lack of skilled workers
  • etc.

Nevertheless, we can reflect on 2022 with satisfaction. To the best of our ability, we have always tried to deal with the new challenges and find solutions, taking into account regular ongoing operations.

Most common tools

To simplify tool selection, we created flyers with the most common tools for our leading machine manufacturers at the beginning of the year.  These show at a glance the most relevant tools for the respective machines and normally offer shortened delivery times.

Overview flyers

Application reports

In 2022, we again published various application reports in trade magazines worldwide and were able to explain our precision tools in application.

Trade show

Together with our trade partners, we again presented ourselves at numerous trade fairs worldwide. For example, we had our own trade show booth at MACH in the UK, participated in Citizen's European trade show roadshow, were part of the German Pavilion's joint booths in Korea and China, and supported our partners in their local trade show activities.

Custumer contacts

While personal exchanges with our customers were kept to a minimum in the last two years due to corona, this year we were again pleased about numerous presence meetings at our company in Renchen or at the customer's site. Whether individual consultation, product training or company presentation, it was a pleasure.

35 years heimatec

In the autumn of 1987, Martin K.H. Krieger had founded heimatec Automations- und Spannsystem. His objective at that time was to manufacture carrier tools for indexable inserts. Since then, 35 years have passed and a lot has happened.

In his open and positive manner, he reports on his experiences.

High rotation

For individual machining operations, standard tools often come up to their limits. Therefore, we have developed and constructed special tools with high speed RPM. For Nakamura BMT 44 as well as BMT 55 machines, for a short time we have also been offering axial drilling and milling heads as well as angular drilling and milling heads with maximum rotational speeds of 10,000 and 12,000 min-1, respectively.

High pressure tools

Since a few months we have axial offset, with internal coolant high pressure tools for the CINCOM series M(5)32 in our portfolio.

Find out more about the two axial drilling and milling heads (Part No. 3 019 34 003 and 3 019 34 004) in our Product Finder:

heimatec videos

We are continuously expanding our YouTube channel. In the course of the year, new videos have been created. Among other things, we have put a new speeder video online.

Our application shows what can be done when the cutting speeds in a lathe are too low. By using tool units with ratios into the fast, speed increases can be achieved. In addition, there is a time and associated cost advantage due to faster machining.

Expansion of the management

At the turn of the year 2021/2022, the management of heimatec was expanded. Kay Krieger was officially admitted to the management. With this step, the future of the family owned company is secured.

ISO certification

In autumn, the re-audit according to the ISO 9001:2015 quality management standard took place, which we passed successfully. Herewith we give our promise to our customers to comply with the product and service quality.

Employees in action

The heimatec team is also active outside the company.

In July, 9 employees participated in the Business Run in Gengenbach.

Likewise, 14 employees participated in the city cycling Renchen and achieved together 2nd place with 2,246 km and an avoidance of 346 kg CO2.

Outlook 2023

None of us knows where the journey will continue. Nevertheless, we are looking positively into the future and will continue to do our best for our customers in 2023.

We will continuously develop our precision tools further and continue to optimize our production so that we can serve the market requirements in the best possible way.

One highlight in the coming year will certainly be our trade show presence at the EMO in Hanover, which we are working towards. Further highlights are guaranteed.

We look forward to continued good cooperation and a collaborative exchange with you!
